Elizabeth (Liz) Shaughnessy is a principal in Tapestry Networks’ healthcare practice and works to bring together diverse stakeholders to address urgent, big-picture challenges in the healthcare sector. She supports Tapestry’s work in diagnostic innovation and genomics, diagnostic quality assurance, and innovative financing and payment reform for transformative therapies.
Prior to Tapestry, Liz worked at the intersection of international trade, global development, and healthcare, first as a program manager at the Corporate Council on Africa and most recently as a senior manager at advisory firm Development Finance International, Inc. There, she specialized in working with life sciences and diagnostics companies on market entry strategy and expansion in frontier markets, facilitating innovative partnerships and dialogue with key healthcare stakeholders in sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and elsewhere around the globe.
Liz received her MA in global, international, and comparative history from Georgetown University. She received her BA from College of the Holy Cross in English and history. She lives in Eastham, MA, with her husband and young son.
